  • Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center 105 Seminary Street Pennsburg United States (map)

Farmland is quickly disappearing in our region, but in Pennsylvania, there are 5,675 preserved farms (579,940 acres total) in 59 participating counties. As of March 2020, there are 172 farms totaling 9,964 acres preserved in Montgomery County under the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program, with more on the waiting list.

Come learn more about the Montgomery County Farmland Preservation Program and its agricultural easements. The Montgomery County Agricultural Land Preservation Program and Heritage Conservancy are holding a landowner workshop at the Heritage Center to provide information about farmland and open space preservation. This free program is for owners and for any interested in the preservation of a regional way of life.
