Self-service photocopies
Self-service photocopying for research purposes is permitted with staff approval. Many materials are sensitive and cannot be photocopied. Seek staff assistance if you need a photocopy of an item from our archive. Photocopies of manuscripts and bound materials printed before 1900 are not permitted.
Photocopies are $.25 per sheet, either legal or letter size.
Microfilm
Copies from microfilm are permitted with staff approval, for personal and research use only. The cost is $.25 per sheet, either legal or letter size.
Image Reproduction and Rights
Visitors to the Library are welcome to take photographs of collection items, and all are invited to request reproductions for their needs. These images are for personal use. If you wish to use them online or in print, please contact us as possession of that photograph or digital scan does not grant you rights to reproduce it. Below are the fees and regulations for such use.
Obtaining reproductions
Contact archivist Hunt Schenkel (hunt@schwenkfelder.com). Requests will be taken in first-come, first-serve manner and may take a few weeks to fulfill. Please provide clear description of the item(s) to be reproduced and tell us of their future use.
Permissions
Credit must be given for images to be reproduced:
In non-commercial educational purposes, such as within dissertations, class lectures, or class presentations;
On social media platforms;
As quotes;
And as a full transcription.
The credit line must read “Collection of the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center.”

Paper reproduction $10
Rush order, to be fulfilled within one week An additional $25
Usage Fees
To publish an image online or in print, for a reason other than listed above, there may be an additional fee to the reproduction fee.
Non-profit or personal use Free
For-profit $250 per image
